Ozzfest 2022 took place for free in the Decentraland Metaverse Music Festival online between November 10 and 13. The show featured Ozzy Osbourne, Motörhead, Megadeth, Black Label Society, Skid Row, The Raven Age, and Britof, and you can check out some fan-captured footage of the shows below.
To answer the question on everyone's mind, no – Motörhead didn't pull off any sort of reunion. Based on the below footage, it seems like the festival was some Motörhead hits, Megadeth's recent music videos, and then two songs from No More Tears and two from Patient Number 9 for Ozzy.
Obviously Ozzfest 2022 online was a far cry from the usual in-person shows we're all used to, but I'm curious – are there a lot of folks out there that are into the idea of a virtual show like this? Or is seeing 'em live in person playing the music still the preferred method? Of course I personally would go for the latter, but I'm also not a kid growing up in the 2020s, and it'd be interesting to know if that shift is actually happening. Which I supposed it has to be to an extent, given the Decentraland Metaverse Music Festival happened.
