Miley Cyrus is a serious musician now. Yes, the woman who proudly shouted "Yea, I smoke pot" at the start of an album a few years ago, would like to be taken seriously. (For the record, I am a huge stoner, I always just thought that line was so hilarious. Who cares that you smoke pot??)
Anyway, Miley performed at this weekend's iHeartRadio Awards, and wanted to make sure the classic rock radio stations were getting some love (maybe?) so she pulled out some unique covers.
First, she covered Pink Floyd's "Comfortably Numb," my absolute favorite Floyd song. I was ready to hate this before hitting play, but she actually did an admirable job here:

And then, she performed Led Zeppelin's "Black Dog." I could only find a short clip of this one:

She has performed the Zep cover before. Here is audio of her doing it at Glastobury Festival this past summer:

She certainly has some pipes on her. Kudos to her for picking some classic rock songs that could help expose her fans to the hard rock essentials.
