Paul Wardingham dropped Assimilate Regenerate in 2011 and I listened the ever-loving shit out of that record. So what was next for Wardingham? A followup titled The Human Afflicition! Fuck yeah! Wardingham kept talking about the record and talking about the record… and then got quiet and didn't talk about the record so much.
Fast forward four years later and this trailer gets posted. Fuck to the yes!
Paul Wardingham will be dropping The Human Affliction on July 14 and I can pretty much guarantee you it's going to be one of the best instrumental metal records of the year by a long shot. The guy knows damn well how to craft an amazing melody and song structure, then balance it out perfectly with great, shreddier sections.
