With all this talk from Rivers of Nihil about eating rain in their first single from The Conscious Seed of Light, it seems almost counter-intuitive to name their new song "Soil and Seed." Don't they know anything about how to have a nice garden?
Really terrible jokes about gardening aside, the new song by Rivers of Nihil "Soil and Seed" takes it down a notch and focuses a lot more on grooving and sounding like an old school death metal band (speedy drums aside). Head over to Stereokiller to hear it.
I wasn't really sold on "Rain Eater" because it seemed more like sports and less like a song, but "Soil and Seed" have helped me regain my faith in the band. This is pretty much everything you'd want out of a super-groove-oriented Nile, and that rules way hard. The Conscious Seed of Light hits stores via Metal Blade on October 15, and you can totally pre-order the record right here via Metal Blade's site!
