Rob Zombie has been unveiling set pieces and houses for his Munsters movie for what feels like forever. Except now we finally have a pretty solid idea of what the entire neighborhood looks like, thanks to a brief walking tour given by the man himself! "Walking to work," said Zombie in the caption of the video. "I think I’m a little early. The Mockingbird Lane gang must still be sleeping." Sure the video is plenty cool, but that slow revelation of 1313 Mockingbird Lane is just fantastic.
In related news, original Eddie Munster actor Butch Patrick recently mentioned in an interview that the movie will be damn near three hours long. Which isn't exactly what we expected from a family-friendly PG movie (and not a gritty, horrific reboot), but we're curious.
"This movie is going to kill in a really good way. It's a very long movie, it's like 2 hours and 38 minutes … but I've seen footage and I've seen where he's going with it and it's going to be great, it really is."
Zombie has thus far case Jeff Daniel Phillips as Herman Munster, Sheri Moon Zombie as Lily Munster, Catherine Schell as Zoya Krupp, Dee Wallace as the host of the talk show Good Morning Transylvania, Pat Priest will play Marilyn Munster, and Dan Roebuck as Grandpa Munster. The Munsters movie is currently being filmed in Budapest. Check out some shots of the set here.
