Sikth split in 2007, after a year after releasing both fantastic album titled Death of a Dead Day and EP titled Flogging The Horses in 2006. The band never really seemed like it was going to get back together until all of a sudden one day a Sikth Facebook page showed up announcing that something was coming.
That "something" was the crowd funding for the band's brand new EP titled Opacities, due out December 4, and if the whole release is anything like "Philistine Philosophies" then I might have to hold off on making a year-end list. Is it obvious how much of an impact Sikth has had on modern metal?
Ugh, is it December 4 yet?
