Hey, remember when I posted about how it totally looked like guitarist Wes Haunch (ex-The Faceless, Glass Casket) had joined Black Crown Initiate? I was right! eOne has officially made the announcement that guitarist Rik Stelzpflug has left the group and that Hauch is the new guitarist, the latter of who says that "things are great and I'm looking forward to the the future."
On top of that news, we've got a new song for you today! The song is the title track from the band's upcoming album Selves We Cannot Forgive, and it sounds a lot more like the band's critically-acclaimed debut EP Songs Of The Crippled Bull more so than 2014's The Wreckage of Stars. "Selves We Cannot Forgive" is a dimly lit journey through a winding labyrinth of jazzy guitars, hard-hitting clean vocals, and enough low-end heaviness to sink a few ships.
Selves We Cannot Forgive is out on July 22. The album was recorded and mixed by Carson Slovak and Grant McFarland (August Burns Red, Texas In July, etc.) at Atrium Audio Recording Studios in Lancaster, PA, and the artwork was done by the revered Travis Smith (Opeth, Devin Townsend, etc.).
