There is nothing more beautiful than misery and self-loathing, so grim things up a bit with a new track from Italian black metallers Blaze of Sorrow.
Blaze of Sorrow are a two-piece black metal cult formed 10 years ago in Mantua, Italy, by multi-instrumentalist Peter and drummer Nevon to deliver themes of sorrow and self-reflection. Taking cues from their peers in Agalloch and Katatonia, the duo paint paeans to melancholy on waves of searing melody in a beguiling blend of dark folk and raging extreme metal.
The band is getting ready to release their fifth album, Astri, on June 9 via Eisenwald Records. We have the exclusive premiere of their new song "Empito," which you can listen below:
