Upon dropping their initial EP, Inquisition, in 2013, Cognizance have continually proven themselves as one of the best tech-death groups based out of the UK.  Last year the band released Illusory, their finest effort to date, and one that was very well received in death metal circles. Wasting no time at all, the group recently recorded a new single called "Ether Of The Void". The song will appear as an exclusive in the newest issue of Terrorizer Magazine on a cd, but we've been given the go-ahead to launch this fantastic playthrough for it ahead of time that showcases the song in full.
I don't really need to tell you how sick it is, either you'll love it if you're into this style, or you can leave and put on some Limp Bizkit. Keeping with their tradition of getting some of today's best musicians to guest on Cognizance songs, "Ether Of The Void" features a fucking killer solo from Jason Suecof (Charred Walls Of The Damned, Capharnaum, Crotchduster) for an extra shred boost. If you dig what you're hearing, the single will be officially released on Wednesday and available at the Cognizance Bandcamp page. This will coincide with the parallel launch of some sweet new merch at the Cognizance Bigcartel store now too. Be sure to follow the band on their Cognizance Facebook page as well.
