Based out of Jaipur in India, Demigod is an up-and-coming act holding a lineup of Ravneet Singh (vocals), Rishab Upadhyay (guitar), Ayush Saxena (bass), Sanskriti Mathur (keys, synths), and Ayush Sharma (drums). Back in 2018, they dropped their debut single "Cure of my Sickness" showing a melodic metalcore identity alike Killswitch Engage blending with a modern execution in the vein of Invent, Animate. Their following singles "Whiplash Motif" and "Two Pillars" veered down a more progressive route with influences likely stemming from Born of Osiris, Make Them Suffer, or even some Dream Theater.
Now, we arrive at the project's fourth single, which even furthers their progression. "Black Rose Dying" slightly departs from their hard-hitting roots in exchange for a focus on atmospheric melodies. Moments of the track provokes similarities to Erra and Architects. If the track isn't exactly your cup o' tea, Demigod prove to have a versatile catalog, so we highly suggest you dive into their other singles and experience the diverse styles they offer.
