Noble Demon Records is a new label formed by ex-Nuclear Blast veteran Patrick Walch, and it seems as though they've already got some pretty solid bands on their roster. Among those is Sweden's Night Crowned, which is comprised of current and former members of Dark Funeral, Bloodshot Dawn, Cipher System, Nightrage and The Unguided. Their debut album Impius Viam is out later this month, and today they're dropping their latest single "Reborn" accompanied by a pretty sweet (and bleak) performance music video. Check it out below.
As you can tell, these guys have the blackened death metal formula nailed down. With their collective pedigree, they should have no problem making their name known in death and black metal circles. That, and they're from Sweden (Gothenburg, no less), which means they were pretty much bred to create really good metal. They definitely borrow from the melodic death metal playbook of The Black Dahlia Murder, but the blackened melodies give Night Crowned a unique flair all their own.
Impius Viam drops February 28th via Noble Demon Records and is available for pre-order/pre-save here: https://snd.click/impiusviam
