TRENT REZNOR & ATTICUS ROSS Released Four Tracks From The Gone Girl Soundtrack And They're Pretty Unsettling

You're so startled right now.

You're so startled right now.

Gone Girl is an upcoming mystery thriller movie adapted from a 2012 book by Gillian Flynn. While I don't really know much else about the movie besides that, I can tell you the Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross-composed soundtrack is sounding pretty damn good so far. Check out four tracks from the release below and let us know what you think:

Unsettling is definitely a good word for it, as is foreboding. The music just oozes this really strange, off-putting quality that demands the listener to dig a little bit deeper into the sounds and find a melody, or beat, or whatever. It's not like we didn't know what to expect from the duo prior to these songs being posted, considering they've done the soundtrack to films like The Social Network and The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. They're also both in How To Destroy Angels, who I highly recommend checking out when you get the chance.

The soundtrack will be released September 30 and the movie will hit theaters October 3. Here's the film's trailer:

Yes, it's being billed as Nine Inch Nails and not Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross.
