Lamb Of God vocalist Randall Blythe teamed up with a handful of students at the School Of Rock Doylestown on December 3 for some killer covers. The setlist included classics by Lamb Of God, Corrosion Of Conformity, and Bad Brains, as well as a session with Blythe talking about his time in the music industry.
“It was an absolute pleasure to work with the kids at the School Of Rock Doylestown. The students were all well-rehearsed, super polite, and – most importantly – present while we were practicing for the evening’s performance. In this modern era of incessant technological distraction, to be around teenage kids who were 100 per cent focused on expressing themselves in a creative manner and communicating with each other in the special way that only band members do made me so very happy.
"The students practiced very hard under the tutelage of competent instructors, because the songs we played were not easy. Once we hit the stage, they performed well. I had so much fun! I would recommend School Of Rock Doylestown to any parents with kids who want to make music. Playing music with other people is about effective communication and focusing on a common goal. I've always said the world would be a much better place if everyone could be in a band just once in their lives, and that is exactly what the School Of Rock Doylestown provides!"
