Hey there tech-fiends! Following last week's format departure into a multi-band round up, I've got an early stream today for one of the band's mentioned last week, Michel Anoia. From time to time, this column will start to host early exclusive streams, as a way to entice you readers to check in for exclusive content you won't find anywhere else! So with that in mind, we bring you a full advanced stream of Plethora, the 2nd full-length by French avant-tech wizards Michel Anoia. I first heard about these guys from esteemed Nocleansinging.com overlord Islander about two weeks ago. And I've been unable to put this bizarre-yet-fantastic release down ever since.
This is far from tech-death by numbers as far as it usually sounds. The angle Plethora comes at you from is more experimental and unconventional.Almost like a cross between fellow technical death weirdos Pyrrhon, mixed with the slippery and unorthodox rhythms of Gorguts, and aided by the spastic assault of Psyopus and Behold…The Arctopus. So if you have an open mind, and don't mind filling it with madness, then Plethora should tickle your fancy. Or trigger a psychotic episode. It's hard to tell, but one thing is clear, this is one ravenous and monolithically dense record that towers over most of their peers copy of a copy efforts. 2016 is still young, but Plethora is already certain to be one of my favorite records of the year. Hit play and find out why. Michel Anoia-Plethora officially drops this Friday, February 12th. And can be pre-ordered here.
