CREED's Scott Stapp Was Placed on Psychiatric Hold; Seeking Half a Million Dollars in Crowdfunding

Stapp is not in a good place mentally.

Stapp is not in a good place mentally.

Creed frontman Scott Stapp's life is deteriorating faster than a overplayed vinyl record. Last week, we posted a summary of his insane plea to fans. The video was eventually taken down.

Meanwhile, TMZ reports that earlier this month, Scott was placed on a psychiatric hold for three days:

Creed frontman Scott Stapp was placed on a psych hold after cops say he had drug-fueled paranoid delusions he's a marked man, and his wife says he hears voices and worries his kid will get attacked by ISIS.

TMZ has obtained a Madison County Florida Sheriff's Dept. report which says deputies found Scott on the side of a road Nov. 13 and he appeared wasted, incoherent and rambling that someone was trying to poison him. Cops placed him on a 72-hour psych hold.

Stapp's wife is now trying to increase the hold to 60 days, saying Stapp is addicted to "steroids, weed, cocaine, PCP, Special K, Crystal meth, and various [prescription] drugs" according to TMZ.

Meanwhile, Stapp, whose bank accounts are frozen, is seeking help from fans. Stapp has launched a crowdfunding campaign to fund his third (third!?!) solo album and a new fictional novel. Wouldn't you want to read an entire novel from a man who's crowdfunding pitch reads as so:

Raising funds 4solo album #3. Using same team, Howard Bensen (Producer) & Chris Lord-Alge (Mix). At the same time, my first book in the fiction category. Need 2fund both projects

As MetalSucks points out, Scott couldn't even get his producer Howard Benson's name spelled correctly, and he wants to write a whole book?

Either way, this seems like a great way to blow your money now that Blake Judd's Paypal hustle has dried up.
