Perhaps trying to mitigate some of the bad publicity they were getting earlier in the week for their lawsuit over royalty rights, Spotify is now offering Hulu for free to premium subscribers. That's a $7.99 a month value, free!
Last year, the two companies introduced a plan that would allow you to get both Spotify and Hulu for $12.99, but now that price has been lowered to $9.99, the price of a Spotify subscription. The catch is it ends on June 10th or "while supplies last," indicating that Spotify will only give out a select number of free subscriptions. But I tried it and it worked for me.
Users already on the $12.99 plan will see their bill reduced at the new rate. If you currently have a basic Hulu account, you can migrate it to this plan. Subscribers who get this version of Hulu would not get any live TV or premium networks like HBO or Showtime. This offer is not available for Spotify family subscribers.
You can activate your Hulu subscription in the account section of Spotify, or (for US users) by clicking here. You can read more about the caveats of the promotion here.
