Now that Brexit is over, the rules are starting to come into view. Rules that unfortunately affect artists hoping to play in the UK.
According to NME, artists hoping to play in the countries will need to apply for a visa from 2021 onward. All artists will also need to prove they have £1000 in savings 90 days before applying for the visa in order to prove the can support themselves. This will be waived if the artist is "fully approved (A-rated)
Artists will need a Tier 5 visa to visit the UK for work – encompassing performances, auditions, workshops, festival appearances, talks and events. It is expected to cost £244 and will come into force in January 2021, following the end of the Brexit transition period in December 2020.
