Like their more pure-Black Metal counterparts across The North Sea, Cradle of Filth's music tends to invoke a colder season a bit more readily than orange leaves and apple cider. But with their embrace of 19th-century romanticism in both their artwork and lyrical themes, there's something more foreboding about some of their songs that seems to fit October better than January.
