Phil Rudd is a rock and roll hero!
The former AC/DC drummer was arrested in his home yesterday, although at the time of our report details were scarce on what actually happened. Turns out Rudd just had some prostitutes over and was doing a bit of drinking, as one does on the weekend. The Daily Mall reported prostitutes were present when cops arrived to arrest Rudd.
Today, Otago Daily Times confirms that Rudd has been set free on bail. Rudd appeared in court earlier today and was charged with possessing and consuming alcohol – which were violations of his house arrest.
Rudd is under house arrest because of attempting to hire a hitman to kill his personal assistant, allegedly over the poor sales of his solo album.
Rudd will be back in court on August 3rd to deal with sentencing from this latest arrest.
