You probably won't be hearing from Bloodiest guitarist Sean Riley for a while.
The 33 year old guitarist is currently in jail after striking and killing a pedestrian while driving his truck drunk. On Sunday night on North Avenue in Humboldt Park, 55-year-old Jose Serrano was hit while crossing the street by Riley. Serrano was taken to a local hospital and was in critical condition but ultimately died due to massive head trauma from a skull fracture, in addition to suffering a broken arm, leg and foot.
An eyewitness at the scene alleges Riley didn't make any attempt to hit his breaks, while driving about 40mph when he hit the victim. Riley did not flee the scene. He was picked up in a "dazed physical state."
Riley was eventually taken to a local police station where he refused to take a sobriety test initially. Several hours after the incident, he finally agreed and had a .16 blood alcohol level, which is twice the legal limit. When asked by police, Riley admitted to "having a few" drinks.
He's currently being held on charges of aggravated DUI, two counts of DUI, driving without insurance and striking a pedestrian in a roadway with bail set at $200,000.
Bloodiest signed to Relapse Records in 2010 and put out their debut in 2011.
Please, if you drink, do not drive! Sleep in your car if you have to or something like this or even worse can happen.
