Ex-Poison The Well bassist Alan Landsman, 38, has been sentenced to between 30 and 72 months in prison for conspiring to commit mail fraud. Landsman's sentence begins December 5 at the minimum-security facility Edgefield Satellite Prison Camp in Edgefield, SC.
Landsman was a co-conspirator in a $50 million scheme alongside Eric Epstein, 58, Andrew Stafford, 58, and a slew of other co-conspirators. Epstein was sentenced to 135 months in prison for conspiracy to commit mail fraud and conspiracy to defraud the Internal Revenue Service, while Stafford was sentenced to six years in prison for conspiracy to commit mail fraud, each followed by three years of supervised release.
According to the United States Attorney's Office of the District of Maryland, "Epstein, Stafford, and their co-conspirators admitted perpetrating a nationwide fraudulent telemarketing scheme designed to ship unwanted and vastly over-priced light bulbs and cleaning supplies to thousands of businesses and non-profit organizations. Epstein and Stafford were leaders in the scheme in which they and their co-conspirators obtained more than $50 million."
Landsman played in Poison The Well between 1998 and 1999, was the vocalist in Until The End and worked for Eulogy Recordings in the 2000s.
