Former Rotting Out vocalist Walter Delgado will be spending at least one year in jail. Delgado was arrested in Ohio with 700 pounds of marijuana and 1,000 jars of hash oil back in March.
Delgado and his accomplice, Anthony Jochum, pleaded guilty to a single count of third-degree felony possession of drugs. Shortly after his arrest, Delgado was out on bond and tweeted (before deleting) "I'm 30 years old today. I'm an actual dumbass. I don't even like weed."
Both Delgado and Jochum were sentenced to 18 months in prison and each have to pay a fine of $5,000. They will be eligible for early parol in September 2017. Delgado has been incarcerated in an Ohio prison since July 22nd.
The official police report explained how the duo got caught:
"The suspect vehicle was stopped for a following too close violation. Several criminal indicators were observed. A drug detection canine indicated to the presence of narcotic odor coming from the suspect vehicle. A probable cause search of the vehicle revealed 70 pounds of raw marijuana, 1000 THC e-cigarette inserts, and steroids. US currency was also seized from the stop."
