High On Fire and Sleep vocalist and guitarist Matt Pike was recently on tour with Sleep and had the unimaginable happen to him – gear theft. Pike's pedal board went missing on a Delta Airlines flight, and was eventually returned to him completely empty. According to a report by Ghost Cult Magazine, Pike's pedalboard was a zip-tied shut Pelican Roadcase and was emptied of its contents somewhere along the flight path between Miami and Atlanta.
Pike put in a claim to Delta Airlines for the damages, but was denied. Tattoo artist and illustrator Alyssa Maucere has since put up a list of everything missing from Pike's possession, which you can find below. You can also find the John Mulaney sketch about how much Delta Airlines sucks, because what better time to watch that than right now?
Seriously though, please keep an eye out in the Miami or Atlanta areas for these pedals.
THIS IS THE LIST OF STOLEN ITEMS FROM HIS ZIP-TIED PELICAN CASE. PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD TO THE #Atlanta AND #Miami GUITAR SHOPS, PAWN SHOPS, @eBay , AND/OR @reverb. IF YOU SEE THESE ITEMS FROM ONE SELLER, THIS IS THE SIGN! THANKS IN ADVANCE. PLEASE SHARE!
