Metalheads must really be visiting Urban Outfitters in droves. The hipster clothing/general store has just launched a new line of leather jackets. It's like those handmade leather jackets you would see in the 80s, except co-oeted by a large corporation and sold for $375 dollars.
The description on Urban Outfitters reads:
Crazy awesome vintage moto leather jacket from the 1990s. Topped with hand-painted Dio and Megadeath logos at the back. Excellent vintage condition. We only have one, so get it or regret it!
I guess it's so expensive because there is only one made. So many questions arise. Why only make 1? Why did they get the Megadeth logo (sorta) right but Dio and Wasp are completely different typesets than those respective bands' logos?
Then again, buying something like this ready-made basically takes all the fun away from the concept of the heavy metal leather jacket. The whole point of it is to buy a cheap leather jacket, and throw all your favorite bands' patches. It's supposed to be unique to YOUR specific tastes and represent you. If you buy this, that makes you no better than Chris Brown or Kanye West, who both previously co-opted metal fashions to horrible results.
But if you do pick up this overpriced jacket, make sure to grab some SunnO)) vinyl as well.
