Decibel Books has just unveiled their massive new book, The Scott Burns Sessions: A Life in Death Metal 1987 – 1997 written by David E. Gehlke. The book clocks in at 480 pages, and chronicles the legendary career of producer Scott Burns and his work with bands like Death, Cannibal Corpse, Sepultura, Obituary, and way more!
"It was awesome to take a trip down memory lane with David and reminisce about all the great bands I was privileged to work with at Morrisound and abroad," said Burns. "David did a fantastic job capturing the essence of the late '80s and '90s death metal scene. I think Tim Hubbard and the other photographers provided excellent pictures that add a powerful visual element to those great stories."
The Scott Burns Sessions: A Life in Death Metal 1987 – 1997 features a foreword by Dan Swanö (Edge Of Sanity, ex-Bloodbath, etc.), loads of photos, and interviews with tons of bands that worked with Burns at Morrisound Recording over the years. The Scott Burns Sessions: A Life in Death Metal 1987 – 1997 is expected to ship late October/early November, and is available for pre-order here.
