Gwar and Ghost fans rejoice! Both bands have teamed up with Trick or Treat Studios to release new officially licensed action figures, as announced at Toy Fair in New York City this past weekend.
The Gwar line features five band members – standing five inches tall – each wielding their weapon of choice: Balsac The Jaws of Death, Pustulus Maximus, Beefcake The Mighty, Jizmak Da Gusha, and Blöthar The Berserker. Each figure comes with a different piece of an Oderus Urungus figure, allowing fans to build their own sixth figure of the beloved late Gwar member.
“Collect them all to build the legendary Oderus Urungus!” reads the Trick or Treat website listing.
The Ghost figure is a 1:6 scale, highly detailed statue of Papa Emeritus II. Sculpted by Alexander Ray, it stands 12 inches tall and features 30-plus points of articulation. Fans can customize their Papa figure with interchangeable hands, a removable mitre, a staff, and a mic/stand.
The Gwar figures are expected to launch later this year, with pre-orders opening soon. The Papa Emeritus II figure is available for pre-order now and is estimated to arrive in December.
