Death's 1995 album Symbolic is one of my favorite Death records, if only because "Crystal Mountain" is one of the best damn death metal songs ever written. Now Nitelight has gifted the world all of Symbolic re-imagined as a synthwave record and you know what? It works! Obviously it's worlds different than the 1995 original, but Nitelight made it work.
