Dead Cross will release their new record II on October 28 and is now streaming the frantic new single "Heart Reformer" alongside a pretty gross new video directed and edited by Dark Details (a.k.a. Chris J. Cunningham).. If you're into watching a dude get his teeth removed and then beat the crap out of another dude, you should probably skip this one. Absolutely do not skip the song though – this is Dead Cross sounding as vicious and insane as they ever have.
"'Heart Reformer' was as much fun to write as it is to listen to," said guitarist Mike Crain. "It's a classic Dead Cross song. It's a pit stirrer and a fist pumper!"
Dead Cross is ex-Slayer & Suicidal Tendencies drummer Dave Lombardo on drums, Faith No More vocalist Mike Patton, Retox guitarist Mike Crain, and The Locust bassist Justin Pearson. II was produced by Ross Robinson (Korn, Slipknot) and is available for pre-order here.
"Words can't even begin to describe how much this album means to me. It's birthed of pain and uncertainty," said Crain about II. "The slow, excruciatingly painful, and nauseating recovery from cancer treatments were the catalyst for every riff and note on this album. However, my will to live and be with my brothers Justin, Dave, Mike, and co-producer Ross Robinson, got me out of bed and running into the studio every day to get it all on tape."
