Imonolith, the band consisting of vocalist Jon Howard (Threat Signal, Arkaea), guitarist Jed Simon (ex-Strapping Young Lad, Zimmers Hole), bassist-or-guitarist Brian Waddell (ex-The Devin Townsend Band, Devin Townsend Project), bassist Byron Stroud (ex-Strapping Young Lad, ex-Fear Factory), and drummer Ryan van Poederooyen (ex-The Devin Townsend Band, Devin Townsend Project) have finally unveiled what they'll sound like.
The band just dropped 45 seconds of a demo track titled "The Reign," and it's every single bit as crushing as you'd imagine it would be. Here's what Imonolith had to say about the song, and why they chose to unveil a clip of a track rather than the full thing.
"This is a demo of one of our heavier songs. We aren't going to release any album-quality material until our first album is in the can and ready for release. We hope you dig this little clip of music. This is just a small glimpse of what's to come and only one of many sides to Imonolith's musical diversity."
Expect Imonolith's debut album likely sometime this year.
