Future Usses is a new band consisting of Intronaut guitarist and vocalist Sacha Dunable, ex-Bereft drummer Derek Donley, and ex-Mouth Of The Architect guitar player Dan Wilburn. The band's debut album is being mixed by Converge's Kurt Ballou this September, and you can check out a rough demo of the song "What Is Anything" below.
Here's what Dunable had to say about the record.
I've been writing this album on and off for the past three years, and now finally have some time to get it recorded and play some shows. What started as late night solo jams between me and a loop pedal has morphed into about an hour's worth of self-indulgent effect pedal worship, dense melancholic harmony, and punishing slowness, with a lineup rounded out by some of my favorite music buds.
Catch Future Usses around California this September for a few days with Bloodmoon, High On Fire, and more!
