We were very excited when we learned of the new project Serpent of Gnosis, featuring Job For A Cowboy vocalist Jonny Davy and guitarists Alan Glassman and Tony Sannicandro have teamed up with The Black Dahlia Murder bassist Max Lavelle and Deeds Of Flesh drummer Darren Cesca. We got a quick taste of what the music would be like but today we get a full song.
MetalSucks has premiered the video for “Paroxysmal Dance” and it's absolutely blissful progressive death metal with hardcore elements. It sounds like what you would expect seeing as though members of JFAC, The Black Dahlia Murder and Deeds of Flesh are in the band – and we mean that as a compliment. Take a listen:

The band's debut album is called As I Drink from the Infinite Well of Inebriation, and it comes out on June 14 through 1126 Records. Pre-order here.
Previously, the band explained how they came to be:
The project began with musicians Max Lavelle, Al Glassman, and Darren Cesca playing in the band Goratory. Inevitably, they each took different paths over the years. However, old friends have reunited and sparked a musical connection with Serpent of Gnosis. Glassman and Cesca were writing the music in 2018 and ultimately turned to their former and current bandmates, who are in the Black Dahlia Murder and Job For a Cowboy, to help fill the gaps. After a unique recording process where the members individually tracked their parts from home, the album was mixed by drummer Darren Cesca in his own House of Grind studio.
