In 2014, ex-Megadeth drummer Nick Menza, guitarist Chris Poland and bassist James LoMenzo began rehearsing as a potential trio for a new project.

The trio rehearsed throughout that year before disbanding to commit to other musical projects, but there's now a recording of them playing through Megadeth's 1986 track "Wake Up Dead." Considering these guys were in the band, and one of 'em even recorded on the album the song was on, they do a damn good job.

Menza played with Megadeth between 1989 and 1998 and then again in 2004, Poland between 1984 and 1987 and then again in 2004, and LoMenzo between 2006 and 2010. Menza passed away in 2016, Poland continues on with OHM and LoMenzo plays in Killing Machine.
