Mastodon recorded their song "Fallen Torches" with Neurosis vocalist Scott Kelly back in 2018 but never released it until right now. The song was originally slated to come out right before Mastodon's 2019 UK tour, but according to drummer Brann Dailor it wasn't finished in time.
You can finally hear the super heavy "Fallen Torches" below, which is the opener to the band's new rarities compilation Medium Rarities. The compilation features a handful of standalone singles that were never part of an album, live tracks, and even some instrumental tracks! I'm also pretty glad "Cut You Up with a Linoleum Knife" from the Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie Film for Theaters Colon the Soundtrack finally made it to something. That song rips.
