Mr. Bungle just released a 7:30 song, in the year 2020. Who would've thunk it. The Raging Wrath Of The Easter Bunny Demo, which will be released on Oct. 30 via Ipecac Recordings, looks like it's going to sound great.
Original Mr. Bungle members Trevor Dunn, Mike Patton, and Trey Spruance are joined by Scott Ian (Anthrax, S.O.D.) and Dave Lombardo (Dead Cross, Slayer, Suicidal Tendencies) on the album. Today, they released the seven and a half minute opus, "Sudden Death."
The 11-track album, features all the tracks written for the 1986 demo, plus a cover of the S.O.D. classic “Hypocrites / Habla Español O Muere” (a.k.a. “Speak English or Die”) and Corrosion of Conformity’s “Loss For Words.” The album was produced by the band, recorded by Husky Höskulds at Studio 606, and mixed by Jay Ruston.
Rhea Perlman gets a credit on the release as the narrator of “Anarchy Up Your Anus.”
The band is celebrating the release with a special livestreamed event on Halloween night called The Night They Came Home. According to the press release, "fans can, and should, expect the unexpected."
Tickets are $15 and are available on Mr. Bungle's website. The first screening airs at 12 noon PST/3 pm EST on October 31 with the on-demand program available for the following 72 hours. An array of exclusive, commemorative merchandise, including a limited (1,000 copies) neon green vinyl variant, will be available to attendees.
