Norway's Shining initially made a name for themselves around 2010 with the album Blackjazz. Like it's name would have you believe, it was essentially a jazz metal led by saxophonist and vocalist Jørgen Munkeby.
Over the years Shining has become more of a rock act, and with this new single "Wolves," they've gone straight to club bangers. It's not even that the song is horrible. It's just boring and completely abandons what made Shining unique in the first place, but to each their own.
"Wolves" is a standalone single and is likely going to be even more divisive among fans than Shining's 2018 record Animal.
