Novembers Doom mastermind Paul Kuhr says the band's new album Nephilim Grove offers "new colors, new sounds, the same bad-assery. We never set out with a vision other than to just write what makes sense and feels right. It always shows our mood at a given point in time while while I am striving for lyrical and emotional consistency." If the two new songs "Nephilim Grove" and "Petrichor" are any indication, Kuhr is right on the money. Both tracks are all the doom and gloom you'd expect from Novembers Doom 30 years into its career, but still sounding just as killer as ever!
Nephilim Grove was mixed and mastered at Unisound by Dan Swanö (Edge Of Sanity, Dissection, Opeth) and is out on November 1, as it should be.
