As a Mets fan, I know Protest The Hero frontman Rody Walker's pain. The man just wants his favorite sports team to win a championship. According to the Internet and precisely none of my own hockey knowledge, the Toronto Maple Leafs haven't won a Stanley Cup since 1967, and it's killing Walker. Though if their losses are going to result in more sweet country-esque jams from Walker, then maybe they should keep losing.
Walker had some vocal cord issues in 2018, but Protest The Hero is back on track for a new album. The new Protest The Hero record will be produced by Dez Nagle (ex-The Safety Fire, Good Tiger) and will feature ex-bassist Cam McLellan on all but one track, which will feature "a very special guest bassist."
Rody Walker had some vocal issues. The band has now issued a fairly lengthy update about the record, saying they're still working on it. The new Protest The Hero record will be produced by Dez Nagle (ex-The Safety Fire, Good Tiger) and will feature ex-bassist Cam McLellan on all but one track, which will feature "we employed a very special guest bassist."
