RAIJU Fuse Pop-Punk & Tech-Death In "Road Trip Dragon Adventure" Guitar Playthrough

Raiju

If you haven't yet heard of them, Raiju is a San Franciscan progressive metal act consisting of Scott Wagner (vocals), Bobby Carroll (guitar), Sean Johnson (guitars/vocals), Max Coley (bass), and Vinnie Hecht (drums). The band hopped on the scene with their debut album Haunt, which revealed similarities to genre-fusion metal groups like The Dear Hunter or Between the Buried and Me.

The band is now arriving at their follow-up LP, Non Sequitur, which is officially releasing on March 19th. Similar to their last release, this album has plenty of proggy elements, but nears more-so on Coheed & Cambria territory. Prior to the official release, you can get a taste of the new record through Bobby Carroll's guitar playthrough video for "Road Trip Dragon Adventure." The track showcases some intricate guitarwork that bounces between shreddy parts and melodic pop-punk passages.
