Mindless Self Indulgence vocalist Jimmy Urine, or James Euringer if you know the dude in real life, has a new solo project called Euringer who will release his debut album on October 19. Euringer just released a new song called "If It Ain’t You Today It Will Be You Tomorrow" which features System Of A Down vocalist Serj Tankian.
Tankian says the track draws some inspiration Martin Niemöller's First They Came For The Socialists, which is about standing up for yourself and others who may be oppressed. So extremely fitting lyrics and topic for Serj Tankian, who's basically spent his whole career preaching tolerance.
“Jimmy and I have been friends for years and I was excited to collaborate with him on his record.
We’re both fans of nutty witty humor, so when he told me to just go off with whatever words come to mind, I grabbed some poetry book titles of mine I had in the vocal booth and randomly spewed them off in the mic.
He then cut the ones he liked and mixed them. His record is bombastic and diverse, unlike most shit out there.”
