Finland sludge masters Besra are all geared up to release their new album Anhedonia, and we're stoked to premiere the record in full for you today. The songs are long and build towering atmospheres throughout, leaving you only to gape at their monolithic heaviness – hence the "masters" title given in the first sentence.
Anhedonia was recorded at Audiamond with Jukka Salovaara and was mastered by Mell Dettmer (Sunn O))), Earth, Wolves In the Throne Room). Here's what guitarist Ville Kujansuu had to say about Anhedonia.
"We are so thrilled about the upcoming release date. The physical album looks so stunning, especially the orange vinyl version. Our short film / music video for ‘Pariah’ has gotten really supporting welcome and great feedback from around the world, so we are really pleased with that also. And some praising reviews has also appeared about the album, so we can’t wait to let the rest of the world hear the fruit of our hard work.”
