Turkish Prog Metalcore Act SAILS OF SERENITY Venture into Nu-Metal Territory on "Plastic" Single

Sails of Serenity

Sails of Serenity is an Istanbul-based metalcore band who released the Gold to Rust EP followed by The Crossing LP last year via Famined Records. You can check out my review of the aforementioned album here, but long story short, their style represented a mix between the melodic hardcore aggression of Architects meeting the experimental, progressive side of Tesseract.

As we now arrive in 2020, the Turkish act are slightly shifting to a more nu-metalcore approach in the vein of Northlane's latest material. On their new single titled "Plastic," progressive riffage still make appearances, but the synths and vocal effects certainly show off a new identity. Check out the single now to see what you think of their stylistic shift.
