War Orphan bring old school vibes with their infectious new track, "Anthem." The band blends metallic riffs, with protest lyrics and traditional punk tropes for a great time.
Singer David Bason offered this quote on the track: "This is a friendship song about a bunch of fellas who have been friends for decades. We stand by each other through these strange times of party-specific news networks, propaganda pundits, a fear laden yet heavily weaponized public, those aiming to profit from the fear, the quack doctors, the pushers, the evangelists, the abusive priests and their protectors, and those seeking to dismantle all institutions in their quest for power. We make music, what we do is shine a light on it and comment. Watch out though, our drummer knows Jiu Jitsu."
The track is released as a standalone single on Stay Gold Records. They released the EP Closer To Death Than Life earlier this year.
