After nearly two years of talking about it, founding Killswitch Engage guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz and former Killswitch Engage vocalist Howard Jones' brand new band has a name! They're called Burn Eternal and their debut album is all mixed and ready to go. Assuming it still needs a mastering job, artwork, and marketing plans, I'm guessing we'll hear this thing sometime in 2025.
"Thai food lunch date!" wrote Jones. "It's been a busy year for us, but we finally have our album mixed. Our schedules have caused this to take longer than expected, thanks for bearing with us. Back to work. We are Burn Eternal. See you soon."
Killswitch Engage parted ways with vocalist Howard Jones in 2012, but over the years have improved their relationship. Jones has been joining Killswitch Engage on stage here and there to play some of his old material, and even had him in the studio for guest spot on their 2019 album Atonement.
The new project will be the first time Jones and Dutkiewicz have been in a band together since Killswitch Engage's 2009 self-titled album.
