In 1996 on the album Black Earth, the lineup for Arch Enemy was guitarists Michael Amott (who also briefly handled bass) and Christoper Amott, vocalist Johan Liiva, and drummer Daniel Erlandsson. That lineup has long since dissipated, and while you'll never see that lineup play under the name Arch Enemy again, you'll be eharing from them shortly!
That lineup, plus current Arch Enemy bassist Sharlee D'Angelo have formed a new (old?) group called Black Earth! As of right now, the band is set to do a short tour of Japan and to perform the first three Arch Enemy records. No word on if the band plans to continue on to write new material as Black Earth, or if this will strictly be a touring thing.
Either way, this needs to come to the United States!
