With Between the Buried and Me largely taking it easy in 2014 (with the exception of a live in-studio DVD), vocalist Tommy Rogers has taken to forming his next solo record, titled Modern Noise. This will be his second solo LP on Metal Blade, behind his debut Pulse album which came out in 2011.
According to Giles' Facebook, Modern Noise will be recorded in July,  put out by Metal Blade, feature original Between the Buried and Me drummer Will Goodyear and unsurprisingly be recorded with Jamie King.
I'm super pumped about Giles' second record, honestly. His Pulse record was an amazing listen through start to finish and I even got to see him perform it in its entirety live. There's absolutely no reason I have to believe Modern Noise will be anything less than great! The only thing that sucks right now is thee's no tentative release, so now we play the waiting game.
You can check out Giles' full statement below.
"Hello people of the Earth.
This is Tommy and I wanted to give you an update on some projects of mine.
I’m currently writing another Thomas Giles record. The record will be called Modern Noise and will be out later this year on Metal Blade Records. Ill be in the studio with Jamie King in July and his magic will be present as always. I am also getting BTBAM’s first drummer, Will Goodyear to play drums on the record. He is a very talented man and I can't wait to see what he adds to the songs.
I have also finished my first score for a movie titled Dutch Book and it will be released hopefully by the end of the year. More updates soon on that.
Btbam tour is going great and the band and myself are very excited to film our new DVD for all of you later this month. See you on the stage/in your ears."
