It's Christmas Eve's eve, and Lorna Shore are making moves. Moments ago, the band shared a very short update to Facebook.
It reads "Effective immediately, CJ McCreery is no longer the vocalist of Lorna Shore."
That's it! No explanation was given.
Lorna Shore formed in 2010. McCreery joined the band last year, replacing vocalist Tom Barber. Barber quit the band, joining Chelsea Grin at the time.
Lorna Shore announced they had signed to Century Media Records in October, with plans to release a new album, Immortal, on January 31, 2020. They had just completed a North American tour with Fit for an Autopsy, Rivers of Nihil, The Last Ten Seconds of Life, and Dyscarnate.
We will keep you posted on any further developments.
Update: MetalSucks has noted that a good amount of racism and abuse allegations have surfaced on social media against McCreery since the news of his departure broke. Read their full report here.
