Last week, internet metal nerds everywhere collectively lost their shit when members of Emperor announced they'd be reuniting and playing the 25th anniversary Wacken festival in 2014. Next year will also mark the 20th anniversary of their landmark album, In The Nightside Eclipse, which they will be playing in full. This led to speculation (partially by us) that the band might be working on a big tour, or perhaps a new album. Not so says the band!
"There will be no new studio album or a worldwide tour, only a few exclusive festival appearances next year, to mark the celebration of this landmark album."
It makes sense that the band keeps their reunion brief and limited. I just hope we here in the states get a taste.
