Well, this really sucks for In Flames fans. The band announced over the weekend that they are forced to cancel the remainder of their U.S. appearances on the Rockstar Mayhem Fest due to an illness in one of the band member's families. I'm sure it's not something the band wanted to do, but had no other choice. They promised to be back stateside in early 2012. Here is the full statement:
"It is with huge regret that today with immediate effect In Flames must cancel their current U.S. shows as part of the Rockstar Mayhem Festival and their own U.S. headline shows. But due to a serious terminal illness of one the band’s immediate family members, they feel they have no option.
"We have had the most amazing and fun times as part of the Rockstar Mayhem Festival and we are truly grateful for all the support the whole festival has shown
"We will be back at the start of 2012.
"Once again, our apologies."
While it's certainly no conselation, check out the In Flames photo gallery we recently posted from Mayhem Fest in Homdel, NJ.
