Well this is a bummer. We got really excited yesterday about TOOL entering the studio, thanks to a cryptic message in their newsletter? Well, turns out we got too excited, because the message was clearly too cryptic. A member of TOOL was in the studio, drummer Danny Carey, but not to record any TOOL project.
Rather, Carey was there to record his side-project, Volto!. The original message was updated to be slightly less vague, emphasizing that the recording was for the side-project and not TOOL. The webmaster did make some vague references to seeing bits of a new music video from TOOL, with new music, but at this point, I don't believe him! I guess this backs up what Maynard was saying about the band taking their time writing.
