Given the pink neon logo and name, you'd assume China Girl is either some new synthwave wave or a punk band. You'd be wrong both times, as China Girl is the likely heavy new project of Pig Destroyer vocalist John Jarvis, Cattle Decapitation bassist Derek Engemann, and Spirit In The Room guitarist and vocalist Dennis R. Sanders.
There's currently no release date for whatever China Girl is preparing, though you can hear some of what the collective has been up to in the studio below. For reference, the band lists its two influences on Facebook as Mr. Bungle and Morbid Angel, and its interests as "MEAT, MUSIC, MARIJUANA AND MARINARA."
So maybe China Girl just likes the letter M.
